Korra did just that in the season finale to give Lin her bending back, and she also did it in a preview for season 2 to win a race. Ergo, Korra mastered the Avatar state by CRYING!!! -_-“

Confessed by anon “I think I’m most looking forward to the worldbuilding in coming seasons. All through Season 1 I was waiting for a filler episode that just explores Republic City and is chock full of 1920s shout-outs. I will be sorely disappointed if we don’t see at least one reference to silent film or early animation. I feel like I’m missing the point of the show if that’s my first priority, but I feel like they gave us such an awesome world and rushed right by it.”
